Hey There! I'm Unique, owner of Unique's Dream Weddings, and I can't wait to connect with you, but first let me tell you a little something about me!

I am a Caribbean New Jersey based wedding planner with 2 years of wedding planning experience. I started Unique's Dream Weddings in 2019, after my aunt, who is one of the busiest people I know, asked me to plan her destination wedding. After a few days of convincing me to take on this task, I finally agreed and jumped fully into planner mode. That was the moment I realized I had an knack for it and have been doing it ever since.

My mom is Trinidadian and my dad is Guyanese( the best of both worlds!) I love my Caribbean culture and as much as I love working and learning about couples from all cultures. I have experience working with Indian, Irish, Trinidadian, Jamaican, Guyanese, Nigerian, Dominican, and many more cultures.
I went to school for fashion merchandising and have combined my love for both fashion merchandising and event planning into one business.

I've worked as a buyer at Macy's where similar to event planning I have to work months ahead of time to produce results, which requires me to stay very focused, organized, and have great time management skills.
​
In my free time I love to spend time with family and friends,(catch me at brunch or game night), travel, watch Netflix, reading mystery and romance novels, and of course get cuddles from my puppy Simba!

I'm currently a newlywed myself(I have some of my own wedding pics on the gallery page, check it out!), so I know just what you're feeling! The feeling of excitement, but also anxious, and a tiny bit overwhelmed. But, I've been through enough weddings to know it all so worth it in the end.

My specialties are being design-savvy, organized, passionate and efficient. I make it my mission to excel at interpreting your vision and ideas, seamlessly bringing them to life. From logistics and lighting to entertainment and hors d'oeuvres, I'll take care of every detail. Go ahead and enjoy - I’ve got it covered.
